Couture Dress is finished

My Couture Dress is finally finished !!!! I even wore it to the Fashion Show held by the Community College where I'm taking my class. It will be worn again this Friday at the National MPS Society Gala fundraiser ! It was a lot of work but I really learned a lot & hopefully perfected my hand sewing a bit as there is to s of hand sewing in Couture .

First item made for 2014 !!!

I finished my first item yesterday for the RTW Fast of 2014 ! It was my first time making an independent pattern- Grainline Scout Woven Tee.  It was very easy , but I do need to work on my fitting techniques . Need to learn to do an FBA .  The fabric is 100% cotton I got in NYC last year during the " Welcome to the World New Granddaughter " trip !!!!
My first day of class at MCC for the Couture Sewing class was great. I might be over my head , but I know I can do it . W will be making our own version of the Little Black Dress. I might make mine deep purple for the MPS gala in May .  Y is telling people he's dating a co-ed !!!
I'm looking forward to working next week with K's mom at Road to California quilt show .
My sewing is all over the board right now & I'm ok with that !

Sewing class

Tomorrow is my first day at Mesa Community College taking - Couture Sewing . I'm taking it to improve my skills & motivation .
